Vlastislav Janáček

“It is very simple to talk about my work - I just love glass.”, says Vlastislav Janáček.

He is not really looking for the quantity effects that the material offers. Vlastislav Janáček is trying to discover the inner origin and peculiar world of the glass.

His themes come spontaneously. They are everywhere around as - relationship between people, nature, music ... One has only to look and listen.

Vlastislav Janáček will be totally happy if he manages to touch somebody with his work and bring his feelings and perceptions to others trough his glass objects.

Vlastislav has been working with glass since his teenage years. He attended the School of Art and Design in Kamenický Šenov from 1978 to 1981 and was taught there by prof. Vladimír Klein. In 1999, Vlastislav Janáček became an independent glass artist.

His works have been exhibited throughout Europe as well as in the United States of America and Canada.
